Southgate Oration

The Southgate Oration is an event run annually since 2009. Associate Professor Deane Southgate, the man after whom this Oration and the Southgate Institute are named, was passionate and committed to the cause of general practice and community-based preventive medicine.

The Lecture is hosted, in partnership with the Don Dunstan Foundation, by The Southgate Institute for Health, Society and Equity, who primarily lead high quality scholarship on the social and economic determinants of health and health equity.
