The Don Dunstan Foundation is supported by the University of Adelaide and Flinders Universities, as part of our work to help inspire action for a fairer world we seek to provide opportunities for students of these two universities to put what they are learning as part of their courses into practice.
We are always on the lookout for students to do internships and work experience placements in our Grenfell St office and are open to a variety of disciplines across all faculties in the University of Adelaide and Flinders University. Our preference is for internships to be undertaken for course credit. Commencement and duration of internship can be discussed upon contact and the areas that interns and work experience students can work on include all areas of the Don Dunstan Foundation’s work. A short list of the current available projects include:
- Research projects
- Helping out with events or projects
Dani-elle McManus, 2016 Research Intern
"Interning for the Don Dunstan Foundation was such a valuable experience for me. Conducting an in-depth research project with the support of such an esteemed organisation as an undergraduate was truly a rare opportunity and I'm so glad I got to experience it. Even now that I've finished, I've got a lasting connection to the foundation and am eager to keep this up through volunteering and fighting for a fairer world."
Connie Tran, 2017 Summer Intern
"I initially sought out this opportunity with the intention to broaden my skill set and gain experience working in a professional environment. Not only have I have achieved this, but I have also worked with both amazing staff and volunteers. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Foundation and encourage all those who are interested to apply."
If you are interested please contact us at email@example.com and include your name, year level, course of study and any thoughts you have on the projects you are interested in and what skills you would like to develop.
