Strategic directions
The Foundation aims to put the debate about social and economic inequality
back into the limelight. It supports vital research into the social problems confronting
Australia today, promotes the outcomes of this research and offers practical solutions.
The strategic directions should be seen as dynamic and the projects beneath
each direction only as current examples of what the Foundation or the Foundation’s
partners are working on within that particular area. The list of projects are
by no means an exhaustive list, nor are the organisations listed anywhere in this
document the only partners the Foundation will work with. Project ideas from any
organisation or individual who shares the values of the Foundation are welcome
and encouraged
The Foundation's current strategic directions are:
- Facilitate a productive exchange between academic researchers and Government policy makers
- Invigorate policy debate and responses
- Consolidate and expand the Foundation's links with the wider community
- Support Chapter activities
- Build and maintain the long-term viability of the Foundation .
