Governance and funding partners
The Foundation is a partnership between the University of Adelaide and Flinders University is supported by the State Government of South Australia. The Foundation is grateful to our major partners who continue to provide us with significant financial and in kind support.
University of Adelaide
The University of Adelaide is one of Australia's oldest and most prestigious universities. With 18,690 students, including 3,000 international students from more than 80 countries, the University of Adelaide has produced two Nobel Prize-winning graduates and many Rhodes Scholars. Its research is at the leading edge of knowledge and the University of Adelaide consistently ranks high among the top universities in the Asia-Pacific region in winning research funds. The Foundation is grateful to the University for its ongoing support in the form of the provision of a Business and Development Manager as well as administrative support and professional services.
Flinders University
We are pleased to report that Flinders University is now a member of the Don Dunstan Foundation. The Constitution of the Foundation reflects an equal partnership between the University of Adelaide and Flinders University in the governance of the Foundation. Flinders University staff are contributing to the management of the Foundation and to the activities of the Foundation.
Government of South Australia
Each State Government of South Australia, since the establishment of the Foundation, have supported its activities in various ways. In 1999, the Government provided an establishment grant, in additional to funding for two $50,000 postgraduate scholarships. The Government has also supported a project focussing on workforce development and currently provide a state government employee to carry out the role of Executive Director.
